Screening for Plagiarism Policy
Ibnu Sina Journal of Health Sciences is committed to maintaining academic integrity, originality, and scientific quality in every published article. All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review or publication process.
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, properly acknowledge and cite all sources, and avoid all forms of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, text recycling, data fabrication, and improper paraphrasing.
Manuscripts that show a high similarity index or indications of unethical writing practices may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected by the editorial team.
The acceptable similarity level is determined by the editorial board. However, authors are generally expected to maintain a reasonable similarity index, typically not exceeding 20–25%, while recognizing that citations, references, and standard technical terminology may influence similarity reports.
If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to take appropriate action based on the severity of the violation, including issuing a correction, publishing an expression of concern, or retracting the article.
This policy is implemented to protect the credibility of the journal, maintain the quality of scholarly publications, and ensure that all published articles comply with internationally recognized standards of publication ethics.
